British wunderkind Gareth Pugh has honed his clubkid roots into a sleek, futuristic vision. Utilising digital media and the format of the ‘fashion film’ to it’s fullest, Pugh has often shown his collections virtually (to critical acclaim) and Spring Summer 2011 was no different. Projecting Kirsten McNenamy’s lithe figure onto a colossal screen in the Bercy Stadium in Paris, Gareth offered high-impact, mirrored and surrealist printed garments on a grand scale.
