A BOUTIQUE: Proenza Schouler

Jacquelyn Jablonski walks in Proenza Schouler's Fall Winter 2010 show

The veritable melting pot of aesthetics from our past curators & other ‘A’ contributors has inspired this weekly curation of items, with a showcase of one designer for women or men here in the new A BOUTIQUE.

De-constructing a look straight from the runway, A BLOG curated by offers you an exclusive selection of ready-to-wear garments thanks to thecorner.com.

Easing into the Christmas party season, we bring you an elegant, preppy ensemble from the Fall Winter 2010 collection of A#9 curator’s Proenza Schouler.

Their show plied a wide base of modern cultural references from modern varsity to garden party gal, via New England with a dark English punk twist. Sound like a mouthful? It was, but when executed with such elegance in proportions, technical fabrications and subtle, dark colour palette – it just worked. Another triumphant progression of the awkward New American sophistication that is Proenza Schouler. (Read our collection review here).
