We welcome you to to the world of Haider Ackermann with the poignant words emblazoned on the first page of A#3 – words that barely begin to encapsulate the majesty, the sensuality and the serenity of the man himself and the garments he creates.

Haider Ackermann was born in 1971 in Santa Fe de Bogota, Colombia, and began his studies at the Antwerp Academy in Belgium in 1994. He debuted his womenswear collection in Paris in 2002, and has since developed a refined signature aesthetic that delicately contrasts dark and tough glamour with a subdued colour palette, expertly-executed draping with striking body-conscious silhouettes, and a selection of the worlds finest silks, jerseys, and skins.

In the coming days and weeks we will delve into the pages of A#3, deftly formed in Haider’s able hands, to offer new insight into his aesthetic, his passion, his people, his music and his art.
