Raf Simons, relaunched
It is with pleasure that we celebrate the relaunch of www.rafsimons.com, the online platform of Belgian menswear designer Raf Simons. He has been a contributor to both Haider Ackermann’s A#3 and Veronique Branquinho’s A#6, with quietly beautiful artistic and literary works that you can see here.
Such personalised and nuanced websites as Raf’s are few and far between, even in the most creative of worlds, and his offers a multifaceted and sensuous insight into his past and present realities – with a nod to his future.
From the breakdown of staple collaborations and archive that offers an audio track-by-track journey through a maze of images, to the diary with new collaborations and videos, the site is both an overload and a subtle introduction. It shows much, yet gives away little. To the well versed enthusiast, the references are all there – his muses, his bands, his clothes – yet to a newcomer, the beauty still resounds in all its coherence.
