In A#4, Hiroshi Inada interviews  Russian art  film maker Jan Svanmajer together with Jun Takahashi, as the two draw parallels between their crafts and themselves. Discussing their childhoods, fears, philosophy, politics and the creative process, the two artistic luminaries present a candid view on their personal experiences and the synchronisity that brought them together.

Below is a short clip from Svankmajer’s 1987 film “Neco z Alenky”. Famous for his masterful puppetry, it is not difficult to see Jun’s fascination with Jan’s work, with his own Grace dolls attesting to his love of toys and marionettes.
