We would like to thank Suzy Menkes, fashion editor of the International Herald Tribune and world renowned voice in fashion, for her thoughtful words on A MAGAZINE CURATED BY PROENZA SCHOULER, released at Pitti Immagine in Florence over the past few days. Dan The Scout caught up with Suzy in the Pitti Press Room and here is what she had to say for A BLOG CURATED BY….

Suzy: “I got a bit worried that there weren’t going to be any clothes in it at all, but we finally got to them and it was worth the wait.”
Dan: “At the end, yes, the retrospective collections…”
Suzy: “I think its good, I think its strong and I like the idea of seeing what Proenza Schouler, or another designer does in a different medium from their usual creative medium. I think it’s terrific. As an editor, I feel I get a more rounded feel of what they are interested in, their involvement and where their creativity leads them. So I think it’s great.”
Dan: “Is that how you felt about the past magazines?”
Suzy: “Yes I mean I think some we know the visual, perhaps know them better, the designers better. I think with Proenza Schouler, they are not a mystery to me because I have seen all their shows, but I mean I didn’t know much about what they are interested in in the way of art, you know it ‘quilts in’ a lot of things. So I think it’s good!”
